Packer Park is the crown of the Glen Eira Shire.   After the development of Packer Park in preparation for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the facility

has quickly become the standard for council sporting facilities. As a VAFA club, we are consistently complimented as having the premier facility within

the competition. I have no doubt it would be a ground of pride for the SMJFL.

 

The Council, as can be seen by their communication have given us every assurance that once ground applications are in for the 2014 season, we will

be granted full access for our potential U/9 team.   The Council has hinted at the desire to host finals matches if possible.

 

Packer Park is currently occupied by;

 

There is a solid working relationship between the three sports clubs. Currently we meet with a council representative and local residents to discuss the

Packer Park facility quarterly. The meetings are vibrant, with a focus on fixing issues and discussing the future of the facility.

 

Packer Park has plenty to offer young families, including a start of the art playground & BBQ facilities which is constantly maintain by Council services.  

The ground is certainly adhesive to families and young children learning the craft of AFL.
