The Glen Eira Gryphons Football Club has a long and diverse history spanning over 50 years. Playing in Division 2 of the VAFA in 2017, the GE Gryphons are based at Packer Park in Carnegie with first class facilities.
Glen Eira a well resourced and managed club with an experienced committee, a strong community and supporter base. The GE Gryphons are financially strong, with an Executive prepared to provide further investment into the Football Department if deemed necessary.
The club’s playing list is buoyant with the transition of the clubs first U/19’s team into senior football and our
2016 Senior Premiership side remains intact despite several retirements. With a focus on further recruitment and player development, the Club is committed to becoming a consistent finals performer once again & climb up the sections within the VAFA competition.
With a growing Auskick & Junior Football program, in conjunction with a twelve-team netball club the GE Gryphons is destination amateur football club that presents an outstanding opportunity for suitably qualified applicants for the following positions;

Senior Coach (playing or non-playing)

Assistant Senior Coach (playing or non-playing)

Reserves Coach (playing or non-playing)

Assistant Reserves Coach (playing or non-playing)

Thirds Coach (playing or non-playing)

Assistant Thirds Coach (playing or non-playing)

Market leading financial remuneration will be offered to the right candidate, as well as access to our network assisting with career opportunities where possible.

 

Applicants will need to demonstrate;

The ability to understand, embrace, and develop the culture of an amateur football club.

Level 2 AFL Coaching Accreditation preferred, Level 1 minimum or willing to obtain.

A clear understanding and experience of transitioning U/19’s into senior football

A passion for driving standards and culture.

Playing applicants to show ability above Division 2 standard.

Develop and implement a team style of play & structures.

Understand modern football trends, while applying tactics to playing group skill level.

Exceptional communication skills both on & off the field

Knowledge and understanding in improving existing player skills.

The ability to shape and form a strong coaching team.

Bring a fresh, energetic and positive attitude along with being well prepared.
